Let IL’ be the current flowing across the 400ohms resistor due to voltage source E. (current will be shorted)

IL’= E …..(I=V/R)

200+400

IL’= E Amps.

600

Let IL” be the current flowing across 400ohms resistor due to current source i.e 6A.(voltage will be shorted)

I”L= 200 X0.6 = 0.2Amps …. (200 ll 600)

200+600

Total current by superposition theorem = IL = 0.3

IL = IL’ + I”L

0.3 = 0.2 + E

$\hspace{0.8cm}$ 600

E= 60V.
