Let the inclination of $40 N$ force be $θ. $
$Θ = \tan^{-1} (3/4) = 36.87 $
Resolving the forces along X-axis,
$∑Fx = Rx = 15 + 40 \cos θ- 25 \cos 40 = 27.8489→ ------- (I) $
Resolving forces along Y axis.
$∑Fy = Ry= 50 + 40\sin θ +25\sin 40 = 90.0697↑ -------- (2) $
From (I) & (2) Resultant force
$R^2 = Rx^2+Ry^2 \\ R = 94.3 N↗ \\ .α =\tan^{-1}(Ry/Rx) = 72.8° $
