Silver, gold and platinum do not undergo oxidation corrosion due to following reasons-
• Metal oxides formed on the metal surface decompose back to the metals and oxygen.
• Silver (Ag), gold (Au), and platinum (Pt) oxides are highly unstable, and hence they do not undergo oxidation
corrosion.
• Thus silver, gold and platinum do not undergo oxidation corrosion.
