Gantt Chart: A Gantt chart is a project management tool used for charting the various activities associated with that project against a specific timeline. The chart provides a visual guide to start and end dates on different activities, statuses of the activities, and whether or not they are complete.One benefit of a gantt chart is that it's easy to create.

Steps to create a Gantt Chart are as follows:

Step 1: Project details: Click the New Project button in the upper right corner of the My Projects screen. Give the project a name and start date, and select the days of the week you want to include in your project. Click Create New Project to move on to adding tasks.

Step:2 Add tasks to the project: Adding tasks to the gantt chart is the first step in creating the project timeline. Some tasks can be completed simultaneously and some cannot begin until another has finished. Add all the tasks to the tasklist.

Step 3: Schedule the tasks:

To schedule the task place the taskbar on your gantt chart, simply click on the timeline below the date you'd like to schedule your task. Then drag either side of the taskbar to shorten or extend the task's duration.

Step 4: Add important project milestones: To add a milestone to your gantt chart, simply click on the Milestone link in the software, give your new milestone a name, and drag the milestone icon across the gantt chart to schedule it on the timeline. Repeat the process to add all the milestones.

Step 5: Add dependencies to the tasks that need them: Click and drag the dependency line to the task you want to link it to.

Step 6: Invite people to your project and assign tasks to those responsible: Click the Invite People button at the upper right corner of your project to go to your project’s People page. From there, click the blue Invite People link, located just below the list of people who are already part of your project.

Step 7: Assign ownership: Assign ownership to various contributes in Gantt Chart. If there are a number of contributes, it’s useful to include their names as contributors on the Gantt chart.
