Hybrid π- model provide more accurate model for high frequency effects. The hybrid model appears as shown below.

All capacitor that appears in above circuits are stray parasitic capacitors between various junction of device. They are all capacitive effect that really only come into play at high frequencies for low to mid frequencies their reactance is very large and they can be considered open circuits. The resistance rb includes the base contact, base bulk and base spreading resistance levels. The first is due to actual connection to the base. The second includes the resistance from external terminal to active region of the transistor and the last is the actual resistance within the active base region. The resistance rπ is simply $\beta_{r_e}.$ The resistance ru is very large resistance and provides a feedback path from output to input circuits in equivalent model. The output resistance r0 is the output resistance normal appearing across an applied load. The value of parameters are given below

$r_\pi=\beta_{r_e}\\ gm=\dfrac1{r_e}\\ r_0=\dfrac1{h_{oe}}\\ h_{re}=\dfrac{r_\pi}{r_\pi+r_u}$
