The Central Pollution Control Board is an organisation constituted in September 1994

Function of CPCB(Cental Pllution Control Board) :-

  1. Advise the central government on any matter conserning prevention and control of water and air pollution and improvement of quality of air.
  2. Plan and cost to be executed at nation wide programme for prevention control and abedment water and air pollution.
  3. Co-ordinate the activities os state board and resolve dispute among them.
  4. Provide technical assistance and quidance to state board,carry out and sponsor investigation and research related problems of water and air pllution and for prevention control and abedment.
  5. Plan and organise training of persons engaged in programme on prevention control and abedment of water and air pollution.
  6. Organise through mass media comprehensive awareness programme on prevention control or abentment of water and air pollution.
  7. Collect,compile and publish technical and statical data related to water and air pollution and measures derive for the effective prevention control or amendment.
  8. Prepare manuals, courts and guildlines relative to tretment and disposal of sewage and trade effluent as well as stack gas,cleaning device,ducks.
  9. Perform other function which might be prescribe by Government Of India etc.
