The region near support where bending stress ${\sigma}_x=0$ & shear stress is maximum. Substitute ${\sigma}=0$ in the following equation

$${\sigma}=\frac{{\sigma}_x}{2}±\sqrt{\Big(\frac{{\sigma}_x}{2}\Big)^2+z^2}$$

We get , ${\sigma}_1=z \ and \ {\sigma}_2=z_1 \ θ=45^0$
