1) Intercepts made by the plane (1,0,1)

  • Step1: Miler Indices for plane atx, y, z axis are (1,0,1) respectively
  • Step2: Taking reciprocals we get –

$\dfrac{1}{1},\dfrac{1}{0},\dfrac{1}{1}$ i.e. ($1\ \infty\ 1$)

2) Intercepts made by plane (4,1,4)

  • Step1: Miler Indices for plane atx, y, z axis are (4,1,4) respectively
  • Step2: Taking reciprocals we get –

                                        $\dfrac{1}{4},\dfrac{1}{1},\dfrac{1}{4}$

Multiplying 4 to clear the fractions we get (1,4,1)

3) Unit cell for (1,2,1)

4) Unit cell for (1,2,4)
