The magnetic field strength of cooper is 1016 ampere / metre. And magnetic susceptibility is -0.8 x 10-3. Calculate magnetic flux density ad magnetisation in cooper.

Given – 

$H=10^6 A/m$

$\chi=-0.8 \times 10^{-3}$

To find – $I', B$

Solution –

We know that,

$\chi=\dfrac {I'}{H}\\$ $I'=\chi\times H$ $I'=-0.8 \times 10^{-3} \times 10^{6}$ $I'=-800$ Also, $B=\mu_o (H+I')$ $= 4\pi \times 10^{-7} (10^{6}-800) $ $= 1.255 Wb/m^{2}$ ∴ Magnetisation in copper $=1.255 Wb/m^2$.
