Vulcanization is a chemical process for converting natural rubber or related polymers into more durable materials via the addition of sulfur or other equivalent curatives or accelerators.

Natural rubber, it will be soft over wide range of temperature.

So to overcome these properties, the natural rubber needs vulcanization.

Vulcanization of rubber means heating of rubber with sulphur or its compounds at 150° centigrade for few hours, it will be more useful for domestic and industrial application.
