Given:
Volume of oil=5ml,
Volume of KOH=2ml,
Density of oil=0.92,
Normality of KOH=0.01N.
To find: Acid value
To find the weight of oil,
$density=\dfrac{mass}{volume}$ or $mass=density\times volume$
weight of the oil=0.92$\times$5
=4.60
$Acid $ $value $=$\dfrac{volume of KOH\times normality of KOH\times56}{weight of oil} $
Hence acid value=$\dfrac{2\times0.01\times56}{4.60}$
acid value=0.243 mg of KOH
