Swept Volume: The volume swept by the piston is moving from T.D.C. to B.D.C. It is expressed in terms of cubic centimeter (cm3 ) and given by

$V_{\mathrm{S}}=\mathrm{A} \mathrm{X} \mathrm{L}=(\pi / 4) \mathrm{d}^{2} \mathrm{x} \mathrm{L}$
