Modified Dulongs formula for energy content is as follows:

Energy content (Btu/lb) = 145C + 610*(H-O/2) + 40S +10N

Since Ash is a left out matter in the process so that content of ash will not be included in the energy content calculations.

Energy content$=145*36.3 + 610*(7.3-51.1/8) + 40*0.1 +10*0.5 \\ = 5824.12 Btu/lb$
