The global system that supplies and removes waste from the surface of earth is known as water cycle or hydrological cycle. It has no beginning or end as the water is continuously kept in motion in the nature. It consists of various processes of precipitation, interception, evaporation, transpiration, infiltration, percolation storage and surface run off. Schematically, the water cycle is shown below
