Colour temperature is important aspect in lighting application. The choice of colour temperature being determine by following factor

1) Ambience

2) Climate

3) Level of illumination needed

4) Colour scheme in an interior

Colour rendering

Colour rendering is an important aspect of artificial lighting. In some situation colour should be represented naturally as possible as under day light condition. Yet in other case lighting should highlight individual colour or create a specific ambiance. However there are also various lighting situation where it is not so much a precise natural colour rendering that matter most but where illumination level and efficiency are of grater importance. So colour rendering is important creation when selection light source of lighting application solution.

To classify light source on their colour rendering properties the so called colour rendering Index (CRI or also denote as RA) has been introduce

The scale of RA range from 50-100

The following table show the meaning of RA value

1) RA=90-100 (excellent colour rendering property)

2) RA= 80-90 (good colour rendering property)

3) RA= 60-80 (moderate colour rendering property)

4) RA< 60 (poor colour rendering property)
