Special feature required for physically handicap and elder people are as,

1. The door of elevator must be automatic and sliding at the same time.the pitch width should not be less than eighty centimeter. In this way it is possible for the user to cross it in a wheel chair , likewise the door remain open must be adjustable up to twenty second. There should be a button on inside of the cabin to close the door.
2. Control device available to cab, both indoor and outdoor must have minimum diameter 3cm.
3. Call button will be located at a height of 1.10 cm and will be as close as possible to the elevator door.
4. The sound signal are used to make it easier to use elevator for the visually impaired. Therefore a cabin will have a sound signaling system that will show the closing and opening of door , as well as floor where the elevator has stopped and direction of movement.
5. The luminaries will be located on the roof of the cabin. They will be out of sight angle of the eyes. This will not cause any kind of glare to those with a reduce vision and there will be more homogeneous illumination inside the cabin.
