There are three important stages of planning of a construction project are:

1] Pre-construction stage –

  • Analyse clients project related requirement.

  • Prepare the design briefly in terms of function ability, cost time, quality and safety.

  • Develop project organization chart.

  • Develop project control system.

  • Establishment of project communication and reporting system.

  • Preparation of work breakdown structure.

  • Preparation of design/drawing deliverable schedule.

  • Coordination and follow-up with the design.

  • Consultant for their inputs.

  • Lead project meetings as necessary for review of progress.

  • Preparation of procurement plan.

  • Conducting pre-bid meetings and feedback for completeness of tender specifications and technical parameters.

2] Construction stage –

  • Full time supervision of all construction works/ activities for the project.

  • On site design coordination and issue of drawings clarification.

  • Organize approval to contractor prodiucement data, samples or material etc.

  • Monitoring progress of work with the master construction schedule of project which is prepared in pre-construction stage.

3] post construction stage –

  • Advice about probable data of substantial completion.

  • Preparing and addressing the schedule of detects.

  • Provide assistance in testing and commissioning of the facility.

  • Re conciliation and certification of final bills of contractors, suppliers, vendors and consultants.

  • Preparation of project close out report including all the bills, drawing, specification etc.

  • Addressing any queries during defects liability periods.

  • Co-ordination with the contractor to rectify the defects during liability periods
