a) minimize how their operations negatively affect the environment
b) comply with applicable laws, regulations, and other environmentally oriented requirements
c) continually improve in the above
ISO 14000 family includes most notably the ISO 14000 standard which represents the core set of standards used by organizations for designing and implementing an effective environmental management system (EMS)
ISO 14000 is an internationally agreed standard that sets out the requirements for an environmental management system. It helps organization improve their environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste gaining competitive advantage and the trust of stakeholders.
