Congestion Control Flow control
When too many packets are present in a part of a subnet, the performance degrades. This situation is called congestion. The receiver will keep losing some of the frames simply because they are arriving too quickly, the solution to this problem is to introduce the flow control.
Congestion control makes t sure that the subnet is able to carry the offended traffic. Flow control is related to point to point traffic.
Congestion control is dependent on the behavior of all the hosts, all the routers and other factors which reduce the carrying capacity of a subnet. Flow control involves some kind of feedback.
