Foot print: The footprint of a satellite is the earth area that the satellite can receive from or transmit to. This is a function of both the satellite orbit and height and the type of antenna the satellite uses.

Azimuth angle: The angle measured clockwise from the true north to the projection of satellite (sub-satellite point) on the horizontal plane at the earth station is called as azimuth.
