Data:
L=6m, B=4m
L/b=6/4=1.5<2
Both the walls shall be subjected to horizontal and vertical B.M.
H=3 m , $M_{20}$, $Fe_{415}$
Thickness of wall:-
l$_{1}$ = 150 mm
l$_{2}$ = 30 H + 50= 30 ×3 + 50 = 140 mm.
l$_{3}$ = 60 × L = 60 × 6 = 360 mm
Assume thickness as 400 mm.
Horizontal steel:
= 3/4 or 1 m h=1m
With the help of moment distribution method.
B.M@CL=45.78 – 58.86 × 3 + 19.62 × (32/2) = - 42.51 => 42.51 ( load is acting inversely)
B.M.@ center of short span:
B.M@CL = 45.78 - 39.24× 2 + 19.62 × (22/2) = 6.54 => -6.54 ( load is acting inversely)
D= D-clear cover - ɸ/2= 400 – 25 – 12/2 = 369 mm
X = d-(lhk)/2 = 369 – (400/2) = 169 mm.
Y = 0.85
