It is an instance of viewpoint for a specific system	It is a filter for information
It is a set of design decisions related by a common concern	It defines the perspective from which the view is taken
It represents the structural aspects of an architecture and illustrate how it addresses the concerns held by its stakeholders	It provides a framework for capturing reusable architectural knowledge that can be used to guide the creation of a particular type of architecture description.
