There are eight types of connectors which provide different interactive services. They are:
1. Procedure call connectors
It provides communication and co-ordination services. The various dimensions are: parameters, entry point, invocation, synchronicity, cardinality, accessibility.
2. Event connectors It provides communication and co-ordination services. The various dimensions are: cardinality, delivery, priority, synchronicity, notification, causality and mode.
3. Data access connectors
It provides communication and conversion services The various dimensions are: locality, access, availability, accessibility, life cycle and cardinality.
4. Stream connectors
It provides communication services The various dimensions are: delivery, bounds, buffering, throughput, state, identity, locality, synchronicity, format and cardinality.
