Consider 10m³ of wet Volume of concrete

For dry volume add 30%

$Q1=10+\bigg(\frac{30}{100}×10\bigg)=13m³$

Add 20% for wastage

$Q2=13+\bigg(\frac{20}{100}×13\bigg)=15.6 m³$

∴Dry Volume = 15.6 m³

  1. Cement Quantity $=\frac{\text{Volume of concrete}}{\text{Sum of proportions}}=\frac{15.6 }{1+1.5+3} \\ =81.82m²$

No. of bags $=\frac{2.48}{0.0347}=81.82m²$

1 bag = 50 kg

Density of cement =1440kg/m³

$\frac{50}{1440}=0.0347 m³$

  1. Quantity of sand $= 1.5×\text{Quantity of cement} \\ = 1.5×2.84 = 4.26m³$

  2. Quantity of coarse aggregate $=3 × \text{Quantity of cement} \\ = 3×2.84 = 8.52 m³$

  3. Quantity of steel

2% of steel

Density of steel = 7850 kg/m³

$\frac{2}{100}×10=0.2 m³$

Quantity of steel in Kgs

=0.2 × 7850 = 1570 g

Quantity of Binding Wire = 1% of steel

$\frac{1}{100}×1570=15.7 kg$

Note: For 1m³ formwork required =6.5m³ 6.5 @ Rs.300

b) Consider 12mm Thick plastering

Consider 100m²

Wet volume of concrete $=\frac{12}{1000}×100=1.2m³$

Add 30% for joint filling, Undulations, Wastage

$=\bigg(\frac{30}{100}×1.2\bigg)+1.2=1.56m³$

Add 25% for dry volume

$=\bigg(\frac{25}{100}×1.56\bigg)+1.56=1.95m³$

  1. Cement Quantity $=\frac{1.95}{1+5}=0.325m³$

No. of bags = 9.36bag

  1. Quantity of sand = 5 * 0.325 = 1.625 m³
