An internal combustion engine required a combustible mixture of air & fuel, compression stroke for the ignition, & the minimum initial starting speed about 100 rpm in order to start & continue running of a vehicle. These requirements ar minimum for obtaining starting speed to attained. There is where the electric starter comes in the attainment of this minimum speed is again dependent on a number of factors such as:
i) rated voltage of starting system.
ii) lowest possible temperature
iii) battery characteristic
iv) starters to ring gear ratio
