Service factor

Service factor is a multiplier which, when applied to rated power, indicates a permissible power.
It is the allowable over load factor for motors or other similar devices.
The service factor (KS ) is the product of various factors, such as load factor (K1), lubrication factor (K2) and rating factor (K3).
The values of these factors are taken as follows:
