Compaction Grouting:

It involves encryption of a thick consistency soil cement grout under pressure into the soil mass, consolidating and thereby densifying surrounding soils in place.

When grouting treatment is applied on a grid pattern , the result is improved compaction of displaced soils and greater uniformity of treated soilmass.

As a secondary benefit, the resulting grout columns add strength in the vertical axis as typically grout compressive strengths exceed those of the surrounding soils.

Permeation Grouting (Penetration)

It’s is a ground treatment method in which grout is injected into a porous medium without disturbing its original structure.

It is usually refer to the process of filling the pores and joints in a soil and rock deposit to change its geotechnical properties

Displacement Grouting:

This method is suitable for all types of loose course gained soils, soft grained soils which are not saturated for filling underground cavities.

It is not used for soft saturated fine grained soils because grouting raise the pore water pressure in the soil mass leading to uneven and aggravated settlement problems.

Jet or Replacement Displacement Grouting:

In this technique, a special grout pipe called the monitor or having high-speed fits of water or grout is used to erode and excavate the soils.

Thereafter, as the monitor is withdrawn, strong impervious columns are produced by mixing grout with the remaining soil.

It’s is more expensive than permeation grouting.

It is the youngest of grouting techniques.
