RAM JET	PULSE JET
It does not use non return shutter valves	It uses non return shutter valves
These are not self-starting	These are self-starting
It can travel at supersonic speeds	These are suitable for subsonic speeds
Flow of air and combustion are continuous	Flow of air and combustion are intermittent
Partly the combustion is done is supersonic diffuser section and remainder is done in subsonic diffuser section	Since it is suitable for the subsonic speeds, entire combustion is done at subsonic diffuser section
