Instrumentation Engg. (Semester 3)
TOTAL MARKS: 80
TOTAL TIME: 3 HOURS
(1) Question 1 is compulsory.
(2) Attempt any three from the remaining questions.
(3) Assume data if required.
(4) Figures to the right indicate full marks.
1 (a) State True/False and justify-Bimetallic thermometer is unsuitable if the temperature changes are rapid.(5 marks)
1 (b) What do you mean by calibration? What is the need of calibration?(5 marks)
1 (c) The output of LVDT is connected to a 5V Voltmeter through an amplifier whose amplification factor is 250. An output of 2mV appears across the terminals of LVDT when the core moves through a distance of 0.5 mm. Calculate the sensitivity of LVDT.(5 marks)
