  1. Both evaporator and condenser pressures should be positive. If the pressure is lower than atmosphere, there is possibility of leakage of air, a non-condensable gas, into the system.Its presence inside system causes drastic decrease in capacity of refrigeration system.

2.This implies reduction in heat transfer in condenser which in turn raises the head pressure and brings about reduction in capacity of condenser.

3.Due to presence of moisture in air, acidic or corrosive chemical compound may be formed which affects the tubing of the refrigeration system.
