Qualities of friction material

  • High coefficient of friction
  • Coefficient of friction should remain constant over entire range of temperature
  • Good thermal conductivity
  • Remain unaffected by moisture, dirt etc.
  • High resistance to abrasive and corrosive wear.
  • It should distribute the pressure evenly at contact surface.
