1 (a) Explain rotate instructions of PIC18F microcontroller.(5 marks) 1 (b) Explain flag register of 8086 microprocessor.(5 marks) 1 (c) Explain MOVLW and COMF instructions in PIC 18.(5 marks) 1 (d) Explain the need of handshaking signals used with various modes of 8255PPI.(5 marks) 2 (a) Explain working and interface of numeric data processor 8087 with 8086.(10 marks) 2 (b) What are the different functional blocks of 8259 Programmable Interrupt Controller? Explain their role in process of interrupt handling.(10 marks) 3 (a) Discuss in brief, the memory organization of PIC18F microcontroller. 4 (a) Draw and explain 8086 system operating in maximum mode.(10 marks) 4 (b) Write a program to perform 32 bit x 32 bit multiplication.(10 marks) 5 (a) Explain different addressing modes of PIC18F. (10 marks) 5 (b) Draw timing diagrams for minimum mode of 8086 -
(i) Read bus cycle.
(ii) Write bus cycle.

6 (a) Explain any two applications of timer in PIC18F and write a program to calculate delay of 100?s (Frequency is 40MHz).(10 marks) 6 (b) Design 8086 based micro computer system using minimum mode owing specifications -
(i) CPU working at 5MHz.
(ii) 32kb SRAM (16kb x 8 devices)
(iii) 32kb EPROM (8kb x 8 devices)
Draw neat schematic and use exhaustive decoding.
