Aquifer:- Aquifers are the permeable formations having structures which permit appreciable quantity of water to move through them under ordinary field conditions.

Aquiclude:- Aquiclude are the impermeable formation which contains water but are not capable of transmitting and supplying a significant quantity .

Aquifuge:- Aquifuge is an impermeable formation which neither contains water nor transmits any water.
