a-t graph

The value of accn = slope of v-t graph

From $0-30: a = (V2 – V1)/t = (12-0)/30 = 0.4$

From $30-90: a = (V2 – V1)/t = (0-0)/60 = 0$

From $90-120: a = (V2 – V1)/t = (0-12)/30 = -0.4$

enter image description here

Distance = Area under v-t graph

$= A1 + A2 + A3 \\ = (0.5 \times 30 \times 12) +(60\times 12) + (0.5\times 30 \times 12) \\ = 180 + 720 + 180 = 1080 m $

Average velocity = total dist/ total time

$= 1080 / 120 = 9 m/s$
