For the signal x(t) depicted in the figure given below, sketch the signals:

(i) To find x(-t), we use Folding property i.e to get –t we draw the mirror image of the signal x(t).

(ii) To find x(t+6), we use shifting property i.e put $t+6=0 ∴ t= -6$. So the origin of the signal starts at t=-6.

(iii) To find x(3t), we use scaling property i.e to get 3t we divide each value of t by 3.

(iv) To find x(t/2), we use scaling property i.e to get t/2 we multiply each value of t by 2.
