As shown in the above diagram, horizontal, vertical and diagonal communication exists in any organization.

A managing director or director can give orders to lower hierarchical managers.

Also horizontal communication exists between two directors of same level.

There also can be cross communication i.e. diagonal communication between manger and director of other hierarchical.
