We can convert any entity set to a strong entity set by simply adding appropriates attributes. Why then, do we have weak entity sets?

I. Introduction:

  1. An entity set may not have sufficient attributes to form a primary key. Such an entity set is termed as weak entity set.
  2. An entity that has a primary key is termed as strong entity set.
