  1. The light emitted by phosphor fades very rapidly, so it needs to redraw the picture repeatedly.

  2. There are 2 kinds of redrawing mechanisms: Raster-Scan and Random-Scan.

Raster-scan technique:

  • The architecture consists of display controller, central processing unit, video controller, refresh buffer, keyboard, mouse and CRT.
